These batteries have 80% more charge capacity than our standard (LiFePO4) batteries. Our team at OpenROV began using these batteries for special expeditions where we wanted to minimize battery life as a limiting factor for a dive. A single set of six batteries will give a v2.8 OpenROV 4-5 hours of continuous operation to explore the underwater world. It is recommended that these batteries be used for any ROV that has any external payload.
We strongly advise that you review this Battery Safety Information Page prior to handling Lithium-containing batteries.
